Thomas Strudwick took Heat Two honours at Brands Hatch as fellow Art of Racing riders James Kelly and Nikki Coates collided on the last lap while battling for second.
Kelly and Coates had been running first and second for most of the seven-lap race as behind, Strudwick fought back from a bad start before taking the lead on the penultimate lap.
On the final lap, Coates looked to lose the front at Druids and collected Kelly, the pair crashing out and earning a place in tomorrow’s LCQ race as Glynn Davies took second with Rob McNealy third.
Dom Herbertson was fourth as two-time World Superbike champion Troy Corser crossed the line fifth in his series debut.
