Richard Cooper was back at the top of the Supersport timesheets this afternoon as he beat new champion Ben Currie by 0.268secs.
After this morning’s wet session, the pack was back out on a drying track for FP2 and Cooper wasted no time setting a quick lap on the BPE Yamaha.
And although Currie kept the pressure on and moved ahead with seven minutes to run, Cooper took the spot back a lap later with time of 1min 31.702secs.
Flying Dutchman Jaimie van Sikkelerus was third quickest, as TJ Toms came through with a late lap to end the day fourth with Jack Nixon fifth.
Harvey Claridge was the fastest of the GP2 runners, finishing the day 13th overall and just one place ahead of Barry Burrell, while Cameron Fraser was third.
