Championship leader Richard Cooper and Nikki Coates will head the grids for the final two Heats of the year at Brands Hatch.
FHO Racing’s Cooper took control with a fast lap of 1min 43.584 secs to go 0.723secs clear of Coates, while Christian Smith was third, to start alongside Cooper in Heat One.
James Kelly put in the fourth best time of the session, securing second on the grid in Heat Two as Michael Rutter was fifth.
Cooper’s points rival Thomas Strudwick was sixth quickest and will round out the front row in Heat Two – and as a result, it will be Sunday’s Main Event before he gets to face Cooper on track.
