The IN Competition Racing Team are set to make their Bennetts British Superbike Championship debut at Brands Hatch this weekend (13/14/15 October) for the season finale as they progress into the Superbike class on a BSB Pathway-specification RSV4 1100 Aprilia with Fraser Rogers.

The move is a continued part of the evaluation process in regards to the new BSB Pathway regulations as Aprilia feature on the Bennetts BSB grid for the first since 2012. Rogers meanwhile returns to the Superbike grid after competing with the team in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship, where he took a double top five finish last time out at Donington Park.

Rogers said: “I am really excited to be stepping into the Superbike class this weekend. It's a very exciting new project with Aprilia and the IN Competition team and I'm very grateful for the opportunity and look forward to being back on the BSB grid. It’ll be great to have Aprilia back in the Superbike class again as it's been a long time and I believe the bike is capable of great things.

“As always a huge thank you to Ian and Myra Newton for the chance to be on the grid and also to my sponsors, Steve Buckenham, Gary Caught, MJW Specialists and all family and friends who continue to support me.”

Team Owner Ian Newton said: “The BSB Pathway Superbike is an amazing opportunity and a new challenge technically for the IN Competition Aprilia team. The whole team and sponsors are very excited to be involved in this new Pathway project and are looking forward to this weekend at Brands Hatch.”

Bennetts British Superbike Championship Series Director Stuart Higgs commented: “I would like to congratulate Ian Newton and his IN Competition Team for enthusiastically taking up the challenge of entering a BSB Pathway specification machine so shortly after the regulations have been conceived.

“This new class has enabled a new manufacturer to enter the series and that is great for the ongoing development of the Championship. It is also fantastic to give Fraser a well-deserved and long overdue opportunity to line up in Bennetts BSB this weekend.”
