Leon Haslam topped the Bennetts British Superbike Championship warm up times at Donington Park this morning, edging out Andrew Irwin in the final minute of the session by 0.158s.
BikeSocial race winner Kyle Ryde had been the rider to set the initial benchmark in the session but soon Andrew Irwin had moved ahead by just 0.002s, but Haslam was able to up the pace to top the times in the closing moments ahead of Irwin and Ryde.
Jason O'Halloran was fourth fastest as he prepares to bounce back from his tough day yesterday on the leading McAMS Yamaha with Josh Brookes completing the top five for FHO Racing BMW Motorrad.
Christian Iddon was sixth fastest despite feeling ill overnight ahead of Charlie Nesbitt and Peter Hickman with Storm Stacey and Jack Kennedy completing the top ten.
