Jason O'Halloran is targeting next weekend’s third round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Donington Park (May 19/20/21) as he sets his sights on his first podium finish of the season for McAMS Yamaha.
The Australian scored fourth place finishes at the season opener at Silverstone, but endured another difficult weekend at Oulton Park. Now he is ready to bounce back strongly at Donington Park as he bids to get his title campaign firmly back on track.
O’Halloran said: “I am looking forward to going back to Donington Park, I love racing there and last year we had a couple of wins on the National circuit when we went there first in the year then a podium on the GP track so I am looking forward to getting going.
“Oulton Park was obviously not a great round for us, we went there feeling like we would have a strong one after a positive test there. We qualified really well and then the crash on Saturday afternoon, I hit a wet patch or the edge of the white line, and it snowballed from there.
“I am looking forward to putting that behind us and we have had a couple of weeks now to fix up some minor injuries and get going next weekend. I am feeling good on the bike and good in myself and ready to get amongst it next weekend.”
