Railton returns to debut in Quattro Group British Supersport Championship with JRM Ducati Team

30 March 2023

Jon Railton will make a return to British action this season after five years competing in the FIM Endurance World Championship, lining up with the JRM Ducati Team in the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship on a Ducati Panigale V2.

Railton from St Neots, has previous success in the Pirelli National Superstock and Ducati Tri-Options Cup Championships and is set to make his debut appearance in the Supersport class riding for the privately run JRM Ducati Team.

Railton said: "The Ducati V2 is an exciting project and the new rules have generated a lot more interest in the Supersport class.

“I'm really looking forward to being back in the BSB paddock and the new challenge in Supersport aboard the Ducati Panigale V2. Despite it being my first experience of the Supersport class, the Ducati is a bike I'm familiar with having completed for a number of seasons in the Ducati Tri-Options Cup. I have always been drawn to the Ducati brand especially with my Dad's history in racing and this is a great opportunity to compete on a Ducati against other manufacturers.

“The Supersport class is now really interesting with the involvement of more manufacturers and the balancing rules to ensure equal performance. The Ducati is a strong package and I look forward to the development as the season progresses.

“Testing at Brands Hatch and Silverstone has gone well in both wet and dry conditions so we're looking forward to round one at Easter. Many thanks to all my new and existing sponsors and Wilf at Moto Rapido for the technical support."
