Danny Kent moved to the top of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship timesheets after the opening session of day two of the R&G Official Test at Silverstone, edging ahead of Danny Buchan by 0.127s in the damp conditions.
Kent had moved ahead on the Lovell Kent Racing Honda in the closing stages, with Buchan on the SYNETIQ BMW maintaining his position ahead of Leon Haslam as he debuted the ROKiT BMW Motorrad Team M 1000 RR on track.
Josh Brookes was back on track after setting the pace yesterday, the FHO Racing BMW was fourth fastest ahead of Glenn Irwin who completed his first laps of the test on the PBM Ducati.
Charlie Nesbitt was sixth on the MasterMac Honda by Hawk Racing ahead of Jason O'Halloran and Andrew Irwin completed the top eight. Crendon Honda by Hawk Racing’s Josh Owens and Dean Harrison for DAO Racing Kawasaki completed the top ten.
