IN Competition Aprilia sign Rollo for Pirelli National Superstock Championship

16 March 2023

Lewis Rollo will return to IN Competition Aprilia on board the RSV4 Aprilia for the 2023 Pirelli National Superstock Championship.

Rollo rode the Aprilia back in 2019 and 2020, having had two successful seasons he is now back with the IN Competition racing family for 2023 in a bid for the title.

Rollo said: “I’m coming home! I can’t explain how happy I am to be back in the IN Competition Team for 2023 competing in the National Superstock Championship on board the RSV4 Aprilia. Knowing Ian and Myra since I was 12 years old, winning the Aprilia Superteen Championship, supporting me through the Aprilia 450 Challenge, to then finishing third in the 2020 National Superstock Championship.

“We have had some success over the years and hopefully 2023 will be our best year yet! I can’t thank the team enough for welcoming me back and would like to thank all of the team sponsors and my personal sponsors for making this happen.”

Team owner, Ian Newton said: “We have got an incredible team at IN Competition that I not only trust, but am reassured can have good success with Rollo this coming year. He will no doubt bring the drive and determination that he showed in 2019 and 2020 to the table. Come rain or shine he will be very competitive. We will continue to have the support of Aprilia and Piaggio UK together with our loyal sponsors. We have the infrastructure needed to operate competitive bikes at National Superstock level allowing Rollo to be able to run at the front and achieve those all-important podiums and wins.”

Mark Knight, Head of Piaggio/Aprilia UK: “We are very excited about the prospects of the 2023 National Superstock Championship. We welcome back Lewis Rollo into the IN Competition team, riding the latest Aprilia RSV4.

“With the team and Lewis’ previous experience riding the RSV4 during 2020 resulting in a third place finish in the championship, not forgetting Lewis’ first year in Superteens winning the championship, we look forward to a successful season. This year will be more competitive than ever before and we at Aprilia UK wish the IN Competition team every success.”
