Storm Stacey scored his best result of the 2023 Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Knockhill last weekend with the Starline Racing Kawasaki rider claiming seventh and eighth place finishes.
Stacey has been consistently building momentum this season and has been edging closer to the top six, something that he is hoping to achieve when the series reaches Snetterton in two weeks’ time for round five.
Stacey said: “Knockhill was obviously a really good round for us apart from the DNF in the final race of the weekend. As a team we are working together and it is coming together really nicely and I felt comfortable on the bike even when I had it sliding around. We had consistent pace and I feel that the last race would have really been an eye opener if we had been able to finish it. But, that is how racing goes sometimes.
“I am looking forward to Snetterton even though it has not been one of my favourite tracks in the past. The way I feel on the bike now and the way that the team are performing, I am very confident we should have a good, if not the best Snetterton I have ever had.
“I want to thank the fans for all their support this year; everyone clapping at the Hairpin at Knockhill was amazing. Massive thanks to them and my sponsors and I am looking forward to seeing what we can do at the next round.”
