Eugene McManus took control in the opening Supersport session in Scotland as he banked a hot lap of 49.805secs aboard his Completely Motorbikes Triumph.
McManus moved to the top early in the session and just managed to hold off Joe Collier’s Kramer, denying the GP2 runner the chance to end opening practice in the lead.
Tom Booth-Amos, who leads the title chase by a single point, ended the session third quickest ahead of Ben Currie, as Rhys Irwin finished fifth.
Collier’s P2 was enough to keep him very clear in the GP2 standings, as Cameron Fraser ended first practice second in class with Harry Rowlings third.
