Glenn Irwin moved to the top of the final free practice session for the Bennetts British Superbike Championship with his final lap of the session to lead a BeerMonster Ducati one-two with Tommy Bridewell holding second and the teammates separated by 0.072s ahead of eBay Qualifying.
Bridewell had been the pacesetter for the majority of the final session with Jason O'Halloran holding second, but a final run from Irwin put him ahead of his title rivals in the final minute of the session.
Bridewell held second ahead of O’Halloran, with the McAMS Yamaha rider’s lap from yesterday remaining the fastest of the weekend so far on combined times.
Ryan Vickers again led the LAMI OMG Racing Yamaha charge in fourth place as he bids for a strong performance in this afternoon’s BikeSocial Sprint Race at his home round of the season. He held off Leon Haslam who completed the top five for the ROKiT BMW Motorrad Team.
Danny Buchan moved up the order into sixth place, easing Josh Brookes into seventh as he led the FHO Racing BMW Motorrad Team contenders. Lee Jackson, Danny Kent and Charlie Nesbitt completed the top ten.
