Lennon Docherty maintained his winning streak in HEL Performance British Junior Supersport Championship at Donington Park, celebrating victory in the opening race of the day following a seven-way tussle.
Lewis Jones had initially grabbed the lead, but with Finn Smart-Weeden, Jack Kirsch, Jacob Stephenson and Ted Wilkinson all having spells at the front it was an incredible opening race of the day.
Docherty was heading the pack when it counted at the finish though, claiming the win by just 0.608s from Joe Ellis who scored his first podium finish of the season ahead of Ted Wilkinson who completed the podium.
Smart-Weeden narrowly missed out in fourth place ahead of Lewis Smart who completed the top five ahead of race two this afternoon.
