Joe Sheldon-Shaw will return to the Pirelli National Superstock Championship from Brands Hatch this weekend (July 21/22/23), joining Steve Brogan’s SBR Kawasaki team.
Sheldon-Shaw has missed the last two rounds after breaking his ankle and also losing his father, who played a huge part in his racing career, but he is ready to return this weekend with a new team.
Sheldon-Shaw said: “I cannot thank Steve enough for sorting all of this out at such short notice. He has gone above and beyond to make this happen. To be back in the paddock after the worst couple of months of my life is a big step for me and I’m both excited and a little anxious which I think is understandable.
“I promised dad that I would achieve the dream we both started together all those years ago and that is what I plan to do. This is a positive step for me to be able to complete the 2023 season and I want to thank everyone who supports me and who has been there for me these past weeks - it’s meant a lot.
“I have not ridden since my spill at Donington and so I am going to Brands Hatch to enjoy myself and to get the best result we can with no testing on the Kawasaki. I am confident in my ability and that of the team and look forward to some great results with SBR Kawasaki.”
