Harley McCabe will return to the Honda British Talent Cup this year as the 14-year-old moves to the Mortimer Racing - Victoria House Academy team ahead of the new season.
The former FIM MiniGP series UK champion was a podium finisher in the Cup last season, finishing in eleventh place in the championship standings after missing half of the season through injury. The Halifax contender is now looking ahead to fighting for the podium once again when the season gets underway in April.
McCabe said: “Firstly I would like to thank Michael, Trick, Dicko and all the VisionTrack team for looking after me and giving me the opportunities over the last few seasons, I loved every minute and l can’t thank them enough. Rich from Mortimer Racing has put a great package together for me for 2023 and l can’t wait to start work with Crew Chief Keith Taylor and the rest of the team.”
Team Owner Rich Mortimer commented: “I’ve personally been observing Harley’s career since first watching him in the MiniGP races, his transition to the Honda British Talent Cup as a 13-year- old rookie has been more than impressive, he certainly has the talent and determination to go far in the sport.”
