As the countdown continues to pre-season testing ahead of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship opener at Silverstone this Easter, the Rapid CDH Racing Kawasaki team have been gearing up for the forthcoming campaign.
Liam Delves returns to the team for a second consecutive season and is joined by reigning Quattro Group British GP2 Champion Jack Scott, who is preparing for his rookie campaign with the Spanish test programme marking his debut on a Superbike.
The team return with title sponsorship from Rapid, the UK's most advanced motorcycle training for a third consecutive year in 2023, with new partners also involved in readiness for the new season.
Team Owner Dean Hipwell commented: “This time of year is always busy for race teams! We have had our two bikes from last season that have been completely stripped down and rebuilt as new and then we also built a third bike, which we have named ‘the Mule’ as it means that we can speed up the dyno work with the engine development. We have seven engines in circulation, and so this has meant we have been able to work more efficiently.
"We've had a big improvement in one of the areas we believed we was lacking in 2022 which is great, and we've also got additional parts to test on track during the pre-season tests.
“I am also really happy that we can continue our title sponsorship with Rapid for the third consecutive season; they are a fantastic team of people to work with and they have also been key in making more introductions which has helped with welcoming new sponsors to the team for the 2023 season, in turn has increased our infrastructure ahead of the season, we really can't thank Rapid Training enough for their support!
“Liam is really determined to trying to build on his rookie season from last year and we look forward to Jack’s first test on the Superbike as we continue our final pre-season preparations now ready for Silverstone. We are really looking forward to start testing post our winter development plans, and to see how both Liam and Jack progress throughout testing and the season.”
