Ben Currie took charge in qualifying to seal pole position ahead of today’s Sprint race at Cadwell Park.
The championship leader clocked a best lap of 1min 28.984secs aboard the Oxford Products Racing Ducati to beat Astro-JJR Suzuki’s Rhys Irwin by 0.276secs.
Zak Corderoy was third quickest to take the final front row spot after holding off Dutchman Jaimie van Sikkelerus, who will lead row two with Tom Toparis alongside him in fifth.
Despite a crash, Joe Collier still managed to hold onto the top spot in GP2, ending the session 17th overall and will start just one place higher than Cameron Fraser with Harry Rowlings just behind.
