Richard Cooper and his former team-mate and old friend Barry Burrell have taken a pole apiece for tomorrow’s ABK Beer 0% BMW Motorrad F900 R Cup Heats at Cadwell Park.

On a drying track, Cooper destroyed the opposition when he went more than three seconds clear on his final lap, clocking a time of 1min 37.847secs.

Christian Smith was third fastest to take second on the grid next to Cooper, as Nikki Coates was fourth and will start alongside Burrell.

Thomas Strudwick finds himself up against championship rival Cooper in Heat One after finishing fifth, as Kieron Smith rounds out the Heat Two grid.
