Jack Kennedy had his best finish of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship last time out at Thruxton and as the series reaches Cadwell Park, the reigning Quattro Group British Supersport Champion is ready to continue the positive progress with the Mar-Train Yamaha.
Kennedy claimed a best dry result of fifth place and now is ready to continue their progress as the championship reaches Lincolnshire this weekend.
Kennedy said: “We had a really positive weekend at Thruxton, our best Friday to date where we finished up in sixth place and went straight through to Q2; it has been a while since we went straight through so that was a positive start. We qualified quite well and not far off, so I was happy with that. In the first race we made a change on set up and it was the wrong way, but I knew we had more in us than that.
“I then had a really good reception during pit walk at Thruxton, it was an amazing for myself and the team and that also gave me a bit of a realisation on how well it has been going in our first full season after being in Supersport last year. I just want to thank everyone for their support as it does help mentally going into the races.
“Then on Sunday we started P11 and then bided my time. I picked a few off and I had good pace and tyre to be fifth and not far off the win. I was over the moon with that as it was my best ever dry result, so myself and the team were delighted with that. Race three was a bit harder but then unfortunately Danny Kent had a problem and he was just a passenger, and I collected him despite trying to avoid him, but at that speed it’s difficult. It was a pretty big one so we were both really lucky.
“We want to build on this best weekend we had at Thruxton as we move into Cadwell Park. We now want to keep trying to move forward."
