Peter Hickman heads into his home round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Cadwell Park seeking his first podium finish of the season so far on home territory for himself and the FHO Racing BMW Motorrad Team.
Hickman has been victorious at the circuit in the past and is determined to fire himself back into podium contention this weekend after salvaging top ten finishes last time out at Thruxton.
Hickman said: “I am super looking forward to Cadwell Park, home round not only myself but also for the team. It has been a pretty good circuit to me in the past few years as everyone knows, however last year I did actually struggle a little bit, but we did find some pace in the last race. In 2021 I won two races with second in the last one so we are hopefully looking for more of that to be honest.
“Thruxton was a bit of a turning point for myself after coming off the back of rounds where we haven’t been where we should be. Even though the BMW was quite difficult at Thruxton, I seemed to make the best of a bad job and was inside the top ten, which is where we should be as a bare minimum.
“I am really looking forward to Cadwell to try and have more of the same, plus a little bit more really. We have tested at Cadwell which has been quite good and productive with what we have tested and found, so let’s see what the weekend shall bring.”
