Quattro Group British Supersport and British GP2 Championship: Toms on top as he beats Corderoy to pole

TJ Toms will head the grid for the Thruxton Sprint race after beating Zak Corderoy to pole position with a 1min 18.619s lap.

Toms’ lap was 0.374secs up on Corderoy’s as Tom Booth-Amos stormed to the third quickest lap.

Behind, points leader Ben Currie managed to bag the fourth best lap to head the second row and will line up alongside title rival Rhys Irwin.

Joe Collier was determined to prove he’s back in business as he broke well clear of his GP2 rivals to qualify 10th overall on the Kramer. Cameron Fraser was second quickest of the GP2 runners, with his Chassis Factory Go Racing Developments team-mate Harry Rowlings third.
