Richard Cooper claimed the opening Heat win to continue his perfect ABK Beer 0% BMW Motorrad F900R Cup run, beating title rival Thomas Strudwick by 1.364secs.
For a while, it looked like Cooper’s winning streak may come to and end as he dropped to fourth on lap two, but the multiple champion and race winner was back ahead within two laps before heading to yet another win.
Strudwick held off a keen and charging Mason Johnson to claim second, as Christian Smith took fourth with Dom Herbertson fifth.
