Jason O'Halloran fired the McAMS Yamaha to the top of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship times in the opening Free Practice session at Thruxton, setting the benchmark by 0.095s ahead of Luke Mossey.
Tactix by Lloyd & Jones BMW’s Mossey maintained second place ahead of Ryan Vickers who led the charge for LAMI OMG Racing Yamaha.
Danny Kent made it three different manufacturers inside the top four as the Lovell Kent Racing Honda Team get their home round underway a, setting the exact same lap time as Leon Haslam who completed the top five for the ROKiT BMW Motorrad Team.
Championship leader Tommy Bridewell was sixth fastest on the first of the BeerMonster Ducatis ahead of the Yamahas of Jack Kennedy and Kyle Ryde. Cheshire Mouldings Kawasaki’s Lee Jackson and Max Cook completed the top ten.
