Christian Iddon is building for the opening round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Silverstone as MotoRapido’s title partner Oxford celebrate their 50th anniversary.
Iddon has been relishing his return to Ducati power for the new season and is already feeling at home within his new team after pre-season testing.
Iddon said: “I have never come into a season having such little riding on a bike, I am pretty sure almost everyone is in the same situation, obviously it will benefit those who are on the same bike or the same team, but there are not actually too many in that position this year. It should actually make for a really interesting start to the year as I think everyone is pretty under prepped compared to previous years.
“What we have done has been really good. We went to Spain and did the three days at Navarra and definitely worked on a few little gremlins and the team have done a load of work electronics wise over the winter and some of that just needed a bit of refining, and they now have a really good handle on that.
“Obviously the British part of testing was cold and it didn’t make for consistent conditions to test, which makes it difficult but when I did ride, I enjoyed it. Every time we changed something we made really good progress and I just want to get to the first weekend now and have a good round one at take it from there!”
