Jason O'Halloran heads into the new Bennetts British Superbike Championship campaign with motivation high as he returns with the McAMS Yamaha team for a fifth consecutive season as the Australian bids to claim the title for the first time.
The O’Show starts the season as one of the few riders who has continuity from the previous season, remaining with the same team and manufacturer as he bids to use the familiarity to start the new campaign strongly and get the initial jump on his title rivals.
O’Halloran said: “I am looking forward to the start of the season. Obviously I haven’t done a great amount of riding, probably the least amount of riding I’ve done before the start of the season, so I’m looking forward to eventually getting some dry tyres on the bike and doing some dry laps!
“I think what we did at Silverstone last week was quite good though all in wet conditions, I think the bike felt in quite a good place and I feel quite comfortable on it and I’m looking forward to getting the season started.
“Physically and mentally, I’m in a good place and I’m looking forward to getting racing again after the winter break, I am probably as excited as I have ever been for a season. Motivation is high; confidence is high and I am feeling sharp on the bike. So I am looking forward to getting going next weekend.”
