Richard Cooper and Thomas Strudwick took the spoils in today’s two Heat races ahead of tomorrow’s Main event at Oulton Park.
Aboard the FHO Racing BMW Motorrad machine, Cooper took a commanding win of more than 10 seconds in Heat One, beating Christian Smith by more than 10 seconds with Rob McNealy third, Michael Rutter fourth and Dominic Herbertson fifth.
In Heat Two, Strudwick was quick to hit the front at the start but came under pressure in the closing laps from Nikki Coates, the Art of Racing rider eventually winning by just 0.104secs. Third James O’Mara with Mason Johnson fourth and James Kelly fifth.
