Valuable points for O’Halloran with new package for 2022

Valuable points for O’Halloran with new package for 2022

19 April 2022

Jason O'Halloran admitted he was satisfied with the progress the McAMS Yamaha team made at the opening round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship last weekend at Silverstone as the Australian claimed a brace of top six finishes.

O’Halloran brought home valuable points for McAMS Yamaha with sixth and fifth place finishes in as the Australian has continued his work to understand the new-for-2022 package, and with clear progress throughout the weekend, it showed that perseverance is paying off.

O'Halloran said: “It hadn’t been the most simple of weekends. The package we’ve got for 2022 is very new to us, the list of changes for this year is as long as my arm and it takes time to get used to that, but you have to stick with it.

“The final race of the weekend was the first time I felt like I was in the race and we figured out the areas we need to improve. We’re not a million miles away with the chassis settings, the more I ride it the more I know it and although the result isn’t a win or a podium, I’m actually really happy with the work we’ve done this weekend as I know it will pay off in the long run.”
