The Bennetts British Superbike Championship is now at the halfway point of the Main Season with 12 races completed and 12 remaining ahead of the crucial Showdown stage of the title battle.

Already this season, a total of 11 riders have featured in the top eight after the opening four rounds of the championship and ahead of the next round at Brands Hatch, five manufacturers are represented from six different teams.

Bradley Ray heads the standings currently ahead of Jason O'Halloran with Yamaha teams locking out the leading two positons ahead of the Cheshire Mouldings FS-3 Racing Kawasaki pairing of Lee Jackson and Rory Skinner.

The second Rich Energy OMG Racing Yamaha features in fifth overall as Kyle Ryde leads Honda Racing UK’s Glenn Irwin, with Tommy Bridewell (Oxford Products Racing Ducati) and Danny Buchan (SYNETIQ BMW) completing the current top eight.

Andrew Irwin, Christian Iddon and Peter Hickman have all featured in the top eight in the standings earlier in the season. However as the championship reaches Brands Hatch, it’s Josh Brookes on the MCE Ducati who has one of the strongest records on the Grand Prix circuit, who is just seven points adrift of eighth in the standings.

Hickman, Iddon and Leon Haslam complete the current top 12 ahead of Brands Hatch next month.
