Carl Stevens will make his debut in the Quattro Group British GP2 Championship at Donington Park this weekend, deputising for Korie McGreevy in the Go Racing team.
McGreevy will once again be sidelined for this weekend’s third round, but the team retains a two-strong rider line up, as Stevens joins Harvey Claridge, who currently holds in second place in the GP2 championship.
Stevens meanwhile will have his first outing on the GP2 machine in Free Practice on Friday, competing most recently in last year’s Ducati TriOptions Cup where he secured the R&G Ducati Shield.
Stevens said “I’m incredibly thankful to Steve and the team at Go Racing SGR for giving me this opportunity. Although I haven’t had a chance to ride the bike, I have full faith in the team around me, and I can’t wait to build through the weekend and learn the ropes. I also want to wish Korie a speedy recovery."
