The R&R Racing team will make their debut in the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship this season, progressing to the class with rookie Caolán Irwin.
Irwin competed with the team in last year’s Pirelli National Junior Superstock Championship, scoring a best result of fifth place at Oulton Park.
Irwin said: ''I'm really excited to make my debut in the British Supersport Championship in 2022. I am really grateful for the faith that Caroline and Charles, as well as Charlotte from RK Racing, have shown in me to give me this fantastic opportunity.
“The team have been fantastic since I joined them halfway through last year and we agreed pretty early on that we would continue in 2022. It will be a big step for both myself and the team, but the continuity with the crew will be a positive to ensure that we hit the ground running.''
Joint team owner, Caroline Reeves said: “Myself and Charles have always had the ambition to progress to the Supersport class and this year we will see this come to fruition. We began by just sponsoring a team and now we feel the time is right with Caolan Irwin to take the next step and achieve our goal of running a team in the Supersport class.”
