Rich Energy OMG Racing Yamaha’s Bradley Ray topped the times in the second official test session for the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park this afternoon, holding off MCE Ducati’s Josh Brookes by 0.020s at the end of the session.
Ray had posted a flying lap earlier in the session, before Peter Hickman regained his position at the top onboard the FHO Racing BMW.
The Rich Energy OMG Racing Yamaha rider though moved back ahead on the timings, despite the fastest time of the test overall coming from Hickman’s time in session one with a 1m:34.522s.
Brookes surged into second as the FS-3 Racing Kawasaki pairing of Rory Skinner and Lee Jackson moved into fourth and fifth positions, with Tommy Bridewell completing the top six for the Oxford Products Racing Ducati team.
Danny Buchan led the SYNETIQ BMW pairing in seventh place, just ahead of Christian Iddon who split the teammates. Andrew Irwin and Glenn Irwin completed the top ten ahead of the final session this afternoon.
