New Zealand’s Damon Rees ended the first Supersport session on top as he beat Caolan Irwin by 0.798secs with a best lap of 1min 49.435sec.
In bright but damp conditions, Jamie van Sikkelerus was third fastest, with Shane Richardson fourth and Jack Scott fifth – and quickest of the GP2 runners.
The second best GP2 man was Jake Archer, who ended the session 10th overall, just one place ahead of third-placed GP2 rider, Harvey Claridge.
