Jack Kennedy remained in control of the Supersport action at the end of the first day at Cadwell Park as he narrowly beat Harry Truelove to the top spot.
His best lap of 1min 29.614s set in the second session was enough to beat Truelove by a mere 0.140s as Truelove’s Appleyard Macadam team-mate Bradley Perie ended the day third.
Fourth quickest was Luke Stapleford, just ahead of leading GP2 rider Jack Scott, who was back in the top five again after a tough morning.
The second best GP2 rider was Richard Cooper on the Kramer, who finished 13th overall and just one spot ahead third-quickest in class, Cameron Fraser.
