Jaimie van Sikkelerus will return to the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship this season with the MPM Routz Racing team
The Dutch contender had a successful rookie season in 2021, making his debut on the UK circuits and delivered top ten finishes with a podium at Donington Park the highlight of the year. After ending their first full season in the top ten of the overall standings, they are now looking to come back stronger when Silverstone kicks off the championship opener in April.
Speaking ahead of the season, van Sikkelerus said: “Our biggest reason to choose this championship again was because of the great atmosphere at events, the racing fans and the unique tracks, combined with the high level racing makes it a great experience for me as a rider and for the team.
“In 2021 all the tracks were new for me except Donington Park GP where we took our first podium. This year we are extremely motivated to take another step in the championship and knowing the tracks now will help a lot.
“I would like to thank all my loyal sponsors and the 125 Club for their support, helping me to achieve my dreams. We do this together! I also want to say a special thanks to all the fans and the media for their support; we are looking forward to a great 2022 season.”
