Tarran Mackenzie presented himself at the Medical Centre this morning for a fitness assessment ahead of this weekend’s Oulton Park round.
The McAMS Yamaha rider underwent a full assessment by Series Chief Medical Officer Dr Heike Romer and it was concluded that Mackenzie was not fit to participate this weekend and he agreed with the decision.
Mackenzie said: “I knew it was always going to be a long shot to ride here this weekend as Oulton Park is a really physical circuit, and although I have been working hard on my recovery, we are not quite there yet. I am now looking forward to continuing my rehab and to coming back stronger at Donington Park.”
