Jackson gunning for podium return at Thruxton

11 August 2022

Lee Jackson arrives at Thruxton this weekend (12/13/14 August) third in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship standings and determined to be back in the hunt for the podium for the Cheshire Mouldings FS-3 Racing Kawasaki team.

Jackson scored his first victory in the championship at Oulton Park earlier in the season and has added a further five podiums to his tally so far, something he is ready to add to, after missing out on the top three at the previous round at Brands Hatch.

Jackson said: “I am looking forward to getting back on the bike this weekend at Thruxton and hopefully the little issues we had at Brands Hatch we have put behind us. There was something that was specific and I think we just got caught out; the hot temperature played a part too. We have some work to do there, but we have some good tracks coming up.

“Last year we were strong at Thruxton so I am looking forward to that. Last year we had a bit of a hiccup where we caught Christian [Iddon] in a crash, but I am hoping that we can continue the success we had before Brands Hatch. There are a few more people coming strong so we need to be back on the podium and racking up the podium points now, and try to consolidate my third place in the championship as it stands before the Showdown.

“I am under no pressure, I love riding this bike and I am excited to get going again and try to add to my earlier win and continue to be in the fight for podiums.”
