Buildbase Suzuki’s Christian Iddon moved ahead of Leon Haslam in the closing moments of the opening session on the final day of Bennetts British Superbike Championship testing action at Snetterton this morning.
In much cooler conditions to the previous two days at the Norfolk circuit, Haslam was one of the first riders to venture out of pitlane on the VisionTrack Kawasaki, setting the initial pace from Tommy Bridewell on the Oxford Products Racing Ducati.
Iddon then was back on track and he moved ahead in the closing five minutes of the session, easing Haslam into second by 0.079s with Takumi Takahashi posting the third fastest time on the lone Honda Racing UK machine in session four.
Bridewell held fourth place ahead of Dan Linfoot who continues his preparations with the iForce BMW team. Luke Hopkins on the Black Onyx Security Honda completed the top six with rookie Dan Jones and Joe Sheldon-Shaw in the top eight. Tarran Mackenzie had ventured out for some sighting laps before heading back into pitlane.
