Drift back onboard with the Bennetts British Superbike Championship for 2022 season

11 April 2022

Fans of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship will be able to witness the onboard action throughout the 2022 season from the best seats in the house, following a new partnership between Series commercial and rights holder MSVR and Drift, in a new exclusive official POV camera partnership.

The incredible track action will be captured on Drift’s latest Ghost XL Pro, which brings the bullet form factor of the acclaimed Ghost XL together with stunning 4k resolution, delivering crystal clear image quality, offering an unbeatable combination of practicality and performance required to capture all of the thrilling overtakes.

Throughout an event, the latest action captured by Drift will feature across the Championship’s social digital and social media assets, including some of the best manoeuvres and the ‘Perfect Lap’, featuring the Pole position onboard from each event. Following a race weekend, fans can also look forward to reliving all of the high-octane action with an exclusive recap of the races purely from onboard footage.

The partnership will also see Drift feature within the Trade Village at events throughout the season, giving spectators the chance to purchase the same cameras which feature on the Bennetts BSB grid. The Ghost XL Pro camera shoots at 4KUHD resolution at 30fps or 2.7k at 60fps, with seven hours of battery life and utilises electronic image stabilisation. The Camera also features a dash cam loop-recording mode and built in Wi-Fi.

Drift Innovation CEO, Robert Li commented: "Drift are thrilled to be invited to put the Ghost XL Pro to the test in Britain's premier class of motorcycle racing, a sport that's hugely important to us and has informed the design of our products since day one. We can't wait to share some exciting onboard footage, and hope to further enhance the BSB experience for all the fans.”

Bennetts British Superbike Championship Series Director Stuart Higgs commented: “Motorcycle racing is an incredible spectator sport and I am delighted that our new partnership with Drift will further enhance the content that we can share with our global fan base. The onboard video content really gets fans closer to the action and demonstrates just how intense our races are from the rider’s point of view!”
