Pirelli National Superstock Champion Davey Todd will take up the reins in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship next season, making his full-time debut in the class as 2023 marks the return of the Milenco by Padgetts Motorcycles Honda team to the premier series.
Todd and the Milenco by Padgetts Motorcycles Honda team delivered a stunning performance during the 2022 season in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship, celebrating title victory together with one round remaining with a formidable tally of eleven podiums finishes including four wins.
The team then lined up in Bennetts BSB for the final round of the season as the 27-year-old made his debut, gaining his first valuable experience in the class, scoring a pair of 15th place finishes ahead of a full-time switch for 2023.
The combined force are now looking to build on the experience next year, where they combine Bennetts BSB with their road racing campaign, something that they have also excelled at in recent years, with Superbike success on the roads, winning the Southern 100 and Armoy road races, in addition to finishing fourth in the Senior TT.
The Padgetts team remain one of the most established teams within the Bennetts BSB paddock, with a wealth of experience from across the British Championship classes in addition to Grand Prix racing throughout the years.
Todd said: “I am super excited to re-sign with the Milenco by Padgetts Motorcycles Honda team. I’ve felt right at home there this year and after winning the Superstock Championship and it’s an awesome opportunity to get to move up to the Superbike class with the same team and same guys around me.
“I got to experience the Superbike class for the first time at the final round at Brands Hatch this season and we learned a lot as a team and it definitely got me excited to be there full-time next season. I’ve just enjoyed my racing so much this year and want to approach 2023 in the same way – I can’t wait to get going already!”
