Three-time Ducati TriOptions Cup winner Josh Day will make a move to the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship this season, joining forces with Astro JJR Triumph completing the team’s three-strong rider line-up.

Day joins the team running under his long-time sponsor Host-it Racing’s joint banner on a factory-prepared Street Triple RS currently under build at the team’s Midlands HQ.

Day said: “This couldn’t be any better for me; Supersport is really where I want to be. I feel like I have unfinished business in the championship and I’m really looking forward to riding a Triumph again.

“I’m really grateful to Stuart and James from Astro JJR with support from Triumph, and I would also like to personally thank Andrew and Host-It for once again believing in me. I am really looking forward to working with the team and the other great riders they have on board - here’s to a great year.”

Astro JJR Triumph co-Principle Stuart Tromans commented: “Josh will be a strong addition to the team. His experience, attitude and all-round ability will benefit his own championship challenge as well as the set up and development of the new generation Triumph Street Triple RS. With Josh alongside Shane Richardson and Rhys Irwin, our triple threat for 2022 is ready!”
