Danny Buchan topped the opening morning session of the R&G Official Test at Snetterton, firing the SYNETIQ BMW to the top after the initial laps as the 2022 Bennetts British Superbike Championship got underway in the sunshine this morning.
Buchan had been consistent within the top three, edging out Peter Hickman at the top of the times by 0.189s with Christian Iddon completing the leading trio on his debut with the Buildbase Suzuki team.
Buchan said: “We have had a good morning. The start of this test was all about getting up to speed and adapting back to the Superbike again. We have done that and now the team are working on some changes for this afternoon, working through some new parts to test. It definitely feels good to be back!”
Ryan Vickers made it both FHO Racing BMWs inside the top five as he had his first outing with the team at his home circuit, ahead of Josh Brookes on the leading MCE Ducati.
Luke Mossey completed the top six for TAG Racing Honda, ahead of the FS-3 Racing Kawasaki pairing of Rory Skinner and Lee Jackson.
Storm Stacey and Tommy Bridewell completed the top ten, with Glenn Irwin and Tom Sykes making his debut at MCE Ducati completing the leading 12 riders.
