There are now just three races remaining before the 2021 Bennetts British Superbike Championship Showdown, and an incredible ten riders will head to Silverstone for the Oxford Round next weekend (10/11/12 September), chasing the final four Title Fighter positions.
Jason O'Halloran had confirmed his Title Fighter status at Cadwell Park, before his McAMS Yamaha teammate Tarran Mackenzie cemented his positon earlier today at Snetterton.
However, after the final race of the day at Snetterton, Tommy Bridewell and Christian Iddon were also confirmed as in with a chance of the championship crown, meaning that there are still half of the Title Fighter positions still to be decided at Silverstone.
Peter Hickman missed out on being secure by just a single point after today’s third race, but with 75 points still available next weekend at Silverstone, ten riders can still mathematically make the final cut ahead of the final three round Showdown, which kicks off at Oulton Park later this month.
Hickman, Danny Buchan, Glenn Irwin and Lee Jackson head into the final round of the Main Season holding the positions currently, but after an eventful round in Norfolk, it could still all change by the time the chequered flag falls on race three next Sunday.
