Cheshire Mouldings Kawasaki powered by JR Performance Racing have signed Joe Talbot for the 2022 season as he prepares for his debut in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship, on the Kawasaki ZX-10RR.
Talbot finished runner-up in this year’s Pirelli National Junior Superstock Championship, just seven points adrift after the season finale at Brands Hatch, following a season that included two victories and a further seven podium finishes.
Talbot said: “I’m absolutely over the moon to be riding back with the JR squad in 2022, after building such a strong relationship with Big Joe and the team over the past two years. I feel I’m in a strong position moving on to the big bike. I know that we are going have to start from the beginning again like we did on the 600 machine, but we have another good testing plan in place so I’m excited to get going.”
Team Owner Joe Richardson commented: “I have been so impressed with Joe over the past two years, from starting his road racing career on a KTM 390, moving straight on to a 600cc machine and within two years finished second in a national Championship is absolutely outstanding.
“I believe Joe has the determination and passion to be one of the future stars of motorcycle racing. We have lots of testing to get through on the new ZX-10RR machine, to get us working well together ahead of the season, but I’m sure like always it will all come together.”
