Jack Kennedy kick-started his weekend in style in the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship, topping opening practice by 0.7s ahead of the rest of the field. The GP2 machine of Charlie Nesbitt was second, ahead of Bradley Perie, Ben Currie and Brandon Paasch.
