Pirelli National Junior Superstock: Nixon returns to winning ways at Donington Park

04 July 2021

Jack Nixon returned to winning ways in the final Pirelli National Junior Superstock Championship race at Donington Park to claim victory for the Santander Salt Yamaha team, becoming the third different race winner in as many races during the weekend.

At the start of the race Joe Talbot had hit the front of the pack, but Zak Corderoy was soon ahead and the positions continued to change, with Nixon making his move at the mid-point of the race in his bid to keep his rivals behind him.

Nixon held the advantage until Corderoy reclaimed the lead, but the closing stages of the race proved hectic and Nixon was able to hold the advantage to add to his winning tally from Oulton Park.

George Stanley moved into second position in the final laps and was able to hold off Talbot with Liam Delves and Sam Laffins completing the top five.
