Lee Jackson topped the final Bennetts British Superbike Championship free practice at Donington Park this morning, taking the advantage from Jason O'Halloran with his final lap in a session where the top 12 riders were covered by just 0.994s ahead of SUPERPICKS Qualifying.
Jackson was able to fire himself ahead of O’Halloran who looked set to hold on to the leading position in the final minute. The McAMS Yamaha rider had moved to the top of the times in the final five minutes of the session, nudging Peter Hickman back a position as the FHO Racing BMW rider ended the session third fastest.
Glenn Irwin had led earlier in the session and the Honda Racing rider finished fourth fastest with reigning champion Josh Brookes completing the top five ahead of VisionTrack Ducati teammate Christian Iddon in sixth.
Kyle Ryde was seventh fastest ahead of Tommy Bridewell in eighth with Ryo Mizuno and Andrew Irwin completing the top ten.
