Casey O’Gorman collected the 2021 Honda British Talent Cup Championship in style after a dominant victory in race two at Donington Park, with Carter Brown collecting second and Jamie Lyons rounding out the podium.
O’Gorman grabbed the lead from the lights but was kept honest on the opening lap by Carter Brown, with Jamie Lyons third.
The leader then began to pull away, opening a second lead over Brown by lap three, and continued to increase the gap over the next few laps. By half race distance the soon to be crowned Champ had extended his lead over Brown to 3.420s, and with five laps to go he’d increased that to 4.748s. O’Gorman then maintained his lead to the flag, crossing the line as the 2021 Honda British Talent Cup Champion.
Carter Brown crossed the line second after holding off Jamie Lyons in a race long battle.
