Peter Hickman is gunning for his first victory of the 2021 Bennetts British Superbike Championship season this weekend (August 13/141/5) as the title fight reaches Donington Park.
The FHO Racing BMW rider has twice scored a podium finish so far this season to hold sixth place in the overall standings, but has high expectations for adding to his tally in the three races this weekend.
Hickman said: “We had a podium last time out and we need to build on that, so I am really looking forward to getting back out this weekend.
“We should be on the podium every race to be quite honest. I feel that we have the potential and the speed to do it, we have just had a little bit of bad luck over the last few rounds, but that is just the way things go sometimes.
“I am feeling really good, the team has been working really well and the bike feels awesome so I am looking forward to cracking on again this weekend at Donington Park. Fingers crossed we get some podiums and maybe even a win or two!”
