Forés targets Brands Hatch return

13 July 2021

Xavi Forés was a frustrated spectator at the second round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Knockhill.  The Spaniard was forced to watch with his FHO Racing BMW team colleagues from the sidelines after failing a fit to ride medical assessment following his crash at Round 1, Oulton Park during free practice.

The BSB Medical Team erred on the side of caution remaining concerned about the condition of Forés’ wrist after assessing updated X-ray images taken on site. These were shared with an independent orthopaedic specialist who concurred. Collectively they arranged for an MRI and CT scan that was performed on Monday morning at the Spire Clinic in Manchester.

This latest more rigorous assessment has now provided Forés with the green light to participate at this weekend’s Estoril Endurance World Championship event, before targeting a Bennetts BSB series return at Brands Hatch in ten days’ time.
