Farmer set for Superbike return at iForce Lloyd and Jones BMW

09 September 2021

Former British Supersport and Superstock champion Keith Farmer will make a return to the Bennetts British Superbike Championship this weekend, joining the iForce Lloyd and Jones BMW team from Silverstone.

Farmer will return to the team he last raced with in 2014, to be the sole rider in the Liverpool-based squad for the eighth round of the season, following the announcement that they parted company with Joe Francis.

The Clougher contender has previously scored a podium finish in the Superbike class, so after missing out on a full-time rider this season after starting out in the Superstock series, he is relishing a return to the premier class.

Farmer said: “It was always the plan to join the team after Silverstone, but I am very pleased to be back in the paddock. I’m hoping my experience with BMW will help further development the bike and get us on the pace from the off.”

Development Director, Julian Mosquera added: “With Brad now on the mend, we felt it was the right time to have a second rider. After the mutual decision to part ways with Joe, we are able to bring Keith in earlier.

“We are very pleased to have Keith back in the ‘family’, having rode for us back in 2014. He knows how the team works and I believe will be invaluable in bringing this season to a positive close. The whole team is excited to see what Keith can do on the BMW M 1000 RR.”
